MINI LANDSCAPE COMMISSIONS

I am excited to offer mini landscape commissions leading up to the holiday season! These commissions are an opportunity to collaborate with me on an original, heirloom gift for yourself or someone you love. A total of ten commissions will be available.

Sizes
8” x 8”  framed flashe on panel ($450)
4” x 4” framed gouache on arches paper ($300)

Materials
Flashe and gouache are both quick-drying water media paint. Flashe is a vinyl-based paint that feels slick and bold on a smooth panel. Gouche is soft, versatile, and shows off a gorgeous paper texture.

Framing
The flashe pieces will be framed in a natural maple float frame.
Gouache on paper pieces will be matted and framed with archival acid-free materials behind UV anit-glare plexi in a natural maple gallery frame.

Reference Photos
Mini commissions will have an abbreviated commission process conducted via email. You’ll automatically receive your planning form to get started after checkout. We can work from your reference photo of a place that’s meaningful to you, or if you have an idea, but not an image, I can offer options from my reference archive. Googled images, copyrighted images, and copies of other artists’ work cannot be commissioned.

Shipping
All small commissions will ship on a rolling basis, but no later than December 17. They will be completed in the order the references are finalized. Shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.

LARGE COMMISSIONS

It all starts with a conversation.

I love working with clients to create colorful, sensitive representations of special places in their lives. Connecting people with meaningful, original art is such a special part of my work as an artist.

You become part of the process.

You will receive updates on the creative process, keeping you involved at selected points along the way. Once we decide on an image or idea, I'll send you pencil sketches before moving on to the final product. We'll talk about size, medium, and cost before I begin the final painting. Commissioning a painting is a huge exercise in trust, and I truly take that to heart.

Investment

The commission cost is heavily dependent on the size and medium of each project, but I do have a $1,000 commission minimum. This minimum can be achieved with one or multiple paintings. With the additional time, energy, communication, and creativity that goes into completing a commissioned painting, there is a 15% increase in price for these paintings when compared to non-commissioned works. Shipping and framing costs are calculated separately. At least 50% of the commission cost is due before the creative process begins and is non-refundable due to the nature of the work. The remaining 50% is due before the work is shipped.

Timeline

My work time is dependent on my current workload, the size, and the medium of the painting. Watermedia (watercolor & gouache) are typically faster paintings to make and dry quickly. Oil paintings take 1-2 months and an additional few weeks to dry before I can ship it safely. If you're considering a commission as a gift, please keep this in mind and communicate your timing needs up front. Timeline will be clear at the time of agreement.

Shipping

Depending on your location, we will coordinate shipping or delivery depending on the size of your painting. I ship via USPS internationally, but can also coordinate local pickup in Concord, NH or paid delivery. Client is responsible for shipping costs.

Framing

I love the satisfaction that comes with framing finished work. I offer add-on frame consulting and service.

Commission Inquiry

Buying art (especially if you're a first timer) can be daunting. I aim to be accessible and clear throughout the process and I welcome questions of any kind. I am here to help!
